Steel and aluminum foundry METAZ Týnec a.s. in Týnec nad Sázavou offers from the following material versions in its production.

Steel Foundry Aluminum Foundry

STEEL FOUNDRY

The size of furnace equipment ranging from 1000 kg of molten metal up to 3000 kg of molten metal also allows casting of minimum quantity and size of the product range. The foundry has 2 Dualtrack melting furnaces. The castings are made in sand molding mixtures for automatic molding line Euromac, 800x600x250/250 molding frames. The weight of castings ranges from about 1 kg to 200 kg. The annual capacity of the steel foundry is 6000 tons.

The foundry is certified according to EN ISO 9001:2015. The offered services include the possibility of manufacturing wooden, plastic or metal pattern equipment.

The range of offered foundry services guarantees a quality casting within  an acceptable time.

Aluminum foundry

The aluminum foundry produces aluminum castings primarily for the automotive and electrical industries using the following technology

  1. Casting in sand molds produced by machine molding with molding frame dimensions ranging from 350x250 mm to 800x600 mm at a weight of 0.1 - 30 kg.
  2. Casting in sand molds made by manual molding up to maximum frame dimensions of 1000x1000 mm, at a weight up to 40 kg.

We can produce castings in material versions with the following chemical composition:

The annual capacity of the foundry is about 2000 t of castings per year. The thermal treatment capacity (according to customer requests) is about 2000 t per year. 
The foundry is certified according to EN ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Metaz Modelárna

The company has the necessary PATTERN SHOP capacity for the production of metal and wooden patterns, core boxes, ingot molds and low-pressure molds. The structure of these devices can be processed by CAD/CAM (PRO Engineer) and machined on CNC machines.

METAZ Tynec a.s. launched new model production technology - i.e. a 3D model "printer":

3D production system - DIMENSION SST 1200 es is designed for fast production of very precise models by direct printing of a 3D digital computer CAD model.

Patterns produced in this way are characterized by high quality of the pattern material and durability depending on the material used.

This new technology enables the company to save up to 80% of time in pattern production.

Determining chemical composition of steels, cast iron and aluminum alloys with Spectro and Tasman Q4 from Bruker-Quantron.

Determining molding composition parameters strength, breathability, moisture, combustible substances, sieve analysis.

- Tensile test according to EN ISO 6892-1
- Charpy impact test at ambient and reduced temperatures      according to ISO 148-1
- Brinell hardness test according to EN ISO 6506-1
- Vickers hardness test according to EN ISO 6507-1
- Rockwell hardness test according to EN ISO 6508-1
- Weld fracture test of bimetallic materials

Evaluation of structural parameters of metallic materials, and evaluation of fracture surfaces.

Non-destructive testing

VT - visual inspection of castings according to ČSN EN 13018.
MT - magnetic particle testing according to ČSN EN ISO 9934-1.
UT - ultrasonic inspection according to ČSN EN ISO 16810.
RT - internal quality grade inspection according to ASTM E446, DIN EN 1690, ČSN EN 12681.
Casting tightness test according to ČSN EN 1593.
